Augnich 228.5 for Oral is used to treat bacterial infections in adults and children, including lower respiratory tract infections, acute bacterial otitis media (middle ear infection), sinusitis, and skin and skin structure infections. These infections are caused by susceptible bacteria that produce beta-lactamase enzymes, such as Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli.

How it's taken

Augnich 228.5 for Oral is taken by mouth after the powder is mixed with water to form a suspension. The dose depends on the patient's weight, age, and the type of infection. Typically, adults and children weighing more than 40 kg take a dose every 8 or 12 hours. For children aged 3 months and older, the dose is based on weight and given two or three times daily. Newborns and infants under 3 months usually receive a dose every 12 hours. Always follow the dosing instructions from your doctor or pharmacist. Shake the suspension well before each use.

Common side effects
