Inbu (Ibuprofen) 200 mg Tablets: Uses and Side Effects

What it is

Inbu is a brand of ibuprofen, which belongs to a class of medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works as a pain reliever and fever reducer.

What it's used for

Inbu is used to temporarily relieve minor aches and pains due to headache, toothache, backache, menstrual cramps, the common cold, muscular aches, and minor pain of arthritis. It also temporarily reduces fever.

How it's taken

For adults and children 12 years and over, the typical dose is 1 tablet (200 mg) every 4 to 6 hours while symptoms persist. If pain or fever does not respond to 1 tablet, 2 tablets may be used. Do not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor. For children under 12 years, ask a doctor. Always use the smallest effective dose.

Common side effects

Serious side effects may include severe allergic reaction (symptoms: rash, facial swelling, wheezing, hives, skin reddening, blisters) and stomach bleeding. The risk of stomach bleeding is higher if you take more than directed or use the medicine for longer than directed. If an allergic reaction occurs, stop use and seek medical help immediately.
