What it is

Ibuten is a brand of ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is a pain reliever and fever reducer known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Each tablet contains 200 mg of ibuprofen.

What it's used for

Ibuten is used to temporarily relieve minor aches and pains due to headache, toothache, backache, menstrual cramps, the common cold, muscular aches, and minor pain of arthritis. It also temporarily reduces fever.

How it's taken

For adults and children 12 years and older, the typical dose is 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours while symptoms last. If pain or fever does not respond to 1 tablet, 2 tablets may be used. Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor. For children under 12 years, ask a doctor before use.

Common side effects

Side effects may include allergic reactions such as rash, facial swelling, asthma (wheezing), hives, skin reddening, blisters, or shock. Ibuprofen can also cause severe stomach bleeding, especially if taken in higher doses or for longer than directed. If any of these occur, stop use and seek medical help right away.
