What it is

Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that relieves pain and reduces fever. Glagome is a specific brand of ibuprofen available as 400 mg tablets.

What it's used for

Glagome is used for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains such as headache, toothache, backache, menstrual cramps, muscular aches, and minor pain of arthritis. It also temporarily reduces fever.

How it's taken

Glagome tablets are taken by mouth. The smallest effective dose should be used. For adults and children 12 years and older, the typical dose is 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours. If pain or fever does not respond, 2 tablets may be taken, but do not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor. Children under 12 years should consult a doctor before using this medicine.

Common side effects

Some people may experience stomach discomfort, nausea, or heartburn. More serious side effects include allergic reactions (rash, hives, facial swelling, asthma) and stomach bleeding. If you notice signs of an allergic reaction or stomach bleeding, stop use and seek medical help immediately.

Important cautions

Do not take more than directed. The risk of stomach bleeding is higher if you take more than the recommended dose or for longer than directed. Avoid alcohol while taking ibuprofen.
