What it is

Digiflam is a brand of diclofenac potassium. Diclofenac potassium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain, fever, and inflammation.

What it's used for

According to its approved uses, Digiflam is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain, treatment of primary dysmenorrhea (painful periods), and relief of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

How it's taken

Digiflam is an immediate-release tablet. Typically, the recommended dose for pain or primary dysmenorrhea is 50 mg taken three times daily. However, your doctor will determine the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration needed. Always follow your doctor’s instructions or a pharmacist’s guidance.

Common side effects

Possible side effects include serious cardiovascular thrombotic events such as heart attack and stroke, gastrointestinal bleeding, ulceration and perforation, liver toxicity, hypertension, heart failure and edema, kidney problems, anaphylactic reactions, and severe skin reactions. Important cautions

Digiflam is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to diclofenac or any component of the product, and in those with a history of asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration.
