What it is

Felcur contains piroxicam, which belongs to a class of medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These medicines work by reducing inflammation and pain.

How it's taken

The typical dose is one 20 mg capsule taken by mouth once daily. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed. Always follow your doctor's instructions.

Important cautions

Do not take Felcur if you are allergic to piroxicam or any NSAID, or if you have had asthma, hives, or allergic reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs. Pirosicam can cause serious liver damage – tell your doctor if you notice yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, or persistent nausea. It may also raise blood pressure or worsen heart failure. Use cautiously if you have kidney disease, take blood pressure medicines, or are elderly. Avoid use in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
