What it is

Barimol Paracetamol is a brand of paracetamol, which is a pain reliever and fever reducer. It comes as a syrup with a strength of 125 mg per 5 mL, and is registered with NAFDAC under number A11-0701.

What it's used for

This medicine is used to temporarily relieve minor aches and pains such as headache, common cold, backache, minor pain of arthritis, toothache, muscular aches, premenstrual and menstrual cramps. It also temporarily reduces fever.

How it's taken

Barimol Paracetamol syrup is taken by mouth. Always follow the dosing instructions on the product label or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not take more than the recommended amount and do not use for more than 10 days unless a doctor tells you to.

Common side effects

Side effects may include allergic reactions such as skin reddening, blisters, or rash. If you notice any skin reaction, stop use and seek medical help immediately.

Important cautions

Do not take more than 4,000 mg of paracetamol in 24 hours, as this can cause severe liver damage. Avoid taking other medicines that contain paracetamol at the same time. Do not drink 3 or more alcoholic drinks daily while using this product. If you have liver disease or are unsure, ask a doctor before use.
