DESCRIPTION A clear reddish brown liquid with n characteristic Mot Ir. 

COMPOSITION Methyl salicylate 2.66 CapSaiCin 0.05 (..'ov/v Camphor 0.63 ",,',,v/v Turpentine oil 48.50 (),,,v/v

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION Satin's Liniment is a topical analgesic and a rubefacient that acts a counter irritant on the skin surface. It works by causing the skin to feel cool and then warm thereby stimulating circulation in the congested area and thus relieving congestion. 

INDICATIONS For the rapid relief of pain, swelling and stiffness associated with rheumatism, sciatica and other musculoskeletal disorders (sprains, strains, tondonotis, neck and shoulder pain, lumbago (lower back pain), joint acne and muscle stiffness) as well as pain from insect and mosquito stings. 

CONTRA-INDICATIONS Hypersensitivity to any of the components. 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION Satin's Liniment penetrates sufficiently without much rubbing. Apply a thin layer of the liniment to the affected area not more than 3 to 4 times a day. Apply gently but firmly. For cases of tender ones (children especially), it can be diluted with equal parts of olive or mineral oil (e.g liquid paraffin). 

WARNING AND PRECAUTION FOR USE Apply gently, Satin's Liniment is for external use only and should not be taken by mouth. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membrane and inflamed or broken skin. If contact happens, flush with plenty of water. Discontinue use of drug if rash develops. Hands should be washed immediately after use (or 30mins after if it used for the hands. Not for use with occlusive dressing and should not be used immediately before or after a hot bath (burning sensation enhanced). 

ADVERSE REACTIONS Redness, warmth, stinging or burning on the application site may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Stop using this medication and tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur, blistering/swelling/severe redness at the application site, increased/unusual pain at the application site, nausea/vomiting, ringing in the ears. 

CHILDREN WARNING Keep out of teach of children and should not be used for children below 2 years of age. 

PRESENTATION Salin's,liniment is packed in a 100ml amber glass bottle with a branded ROPP aluminium cap. 

STORAGE Replace cap tightly after each application. Store in a cool (below 304C) dry place and keep away from flame or fire. 

EXPIRATION DATE Observe expiry date on the outer pack or bottle.
