Camcolit 400 is a mood stabilizer medication containing 400 mg of lithium carbonate which is a controlled release version of Camcolit 250.
What is Camcolit 400 used for?
Camcolit 400 is used in the prevention and treatment of mania and hypomania, as a mood stabilizer in bipolar affective disorder (manic depression), treatment of recurrent depression, and self harming behavior.
When should I not use Camcolit 400?
Do not use Camcolit 400 if you have/are:
- Decreased kidney function
- Heart disease
- Breastfeeding
- Addison’s disease
- People with low blood sodium
- Untreated hypothyroidism
- Children under 12 years of age.
