Each 250ml & 500ml of BRETT®MINTY mouthwash contains Thymol B.P. 0.047% w/v and Ethanol while 250ml and 500ml of BRETT®GOLD mouthwash CONTAINS Thymol B.P. 0.063% w/v and Ethanol.


  1. PHYSICAL/CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS


BRETT® mouthwashcontains THYMOL. The antiseptic that combats dental plaque and the residual smell of spicy foods, alcohol and tobacco. It destroys bacteria that cause plaque build up and bad breath, BRETT is able to reach into areas of the mouth not accessible to toothbrush

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and guidelines are perfectly observed. BRETT® MOUTHWASHis manufactured in a very high hygienic environment.


  1. INFORMATION ABOUT PACKAGING MATERIALS(LABELS, JACKETS ETC)

BRETT® mouthwash is packed in200mlflint bottle with a dispenser at the top. BRETT® mouthwash is in two types, BRETT® MINTY and BRETT® GOLD. The BRETT® MINTY is light blue and the BRETT® GOLD is golden-yellow in colour.


  1. THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS/REASONABLY FORSEEABLE USE


It is used to destroy bacteria that cause plaque build-up and bad breath. Brett is able to reach into areas of the mouth not accessible to the toothbrush.

  1. DOSAGE/METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION/ THE EXPOSED(TARGETED POPULATION)
  • Use twice daily(morning &evening) for a whole day’s protection against plaque build-up and for long lasting fresh breath
  • Rinse mouth with about 20ml of BRETT for 10-20 seconds using the dispenser provided, and then spit out. FOR CHILDREN ABOVE 8YEARS.


  1. WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
  • Do not dilute
  • Not recommended for children under 8yrs because of the risk of swallowing.


  1. UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS

BRETT® mouthwash is generally very well tolerated with a low potential for causing irritation, or sensitization reactions. Prolonged use of BRETT® mouthwash is also well tolerated.


  1. OVERDOSE(SIGNS.SYMPTOMS AND TREATMENT)

There are no reports of alcohol intoxication from overdose with BRETT® mouthwash. Acute alcoholic intoxication is extremely unlikely; however, it is theoretically possible that, if it is swallowed by a small child, alcoholic intoxication may occur due to the ethanol content.


TREATMENT OF OVERDOSE

Treatment of overdose is symptomatic, but rarely required. In the event of accidental ingestion of the contents of a bottle by a child, a doctor should be consulted immediately. Gastric lavage should be considered within two hours of ingestion and management should relate to treatment of alcoholic intoxication.
