Aquacef Powder for Oral Suspension contains cefuroxime axetil, a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections in children and adults who require oral suspension therapy.
This medicine is commonly used for:
Treatment of respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia
Management of ear, nose, and throat infections (otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis)
Treatment of urinary tract infections
Management of skin and soft tissue infections caused by susceptible bacteria
It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of bacteria and helping to clear infection effectively.
Composition
Each 5 mL of reconstituted suspension contains:
Cefuroxime Axetil BP equivalent to Cefuroxime – 125 mg
Excipients – q.s.
Colour: Ponceau 4R
Dosage and Administration
Route of Administration: Oral
