Common side effects include diarrhoea or loose stools (9%), nausea (3%), skin rash or hives (3%), vomiting (1%), and vaginal yeast infection (1%). Serious side effects can occur, such as severe allergic reactions, severe skin reactions, liver problems, and diarrhoea caused by Clostridioides difficile. Seek medical help if you notice severe symptoms.

Important cautions

This medicine should not be used if you have a history of serious allergic reaction to amoxicillin, clavulanate, other penicillins, or cephalosporins. It is also contraindicated if you have had liver damage or jaundice from this medicine. Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, or if you have mononucleosis. Stop use and contact your doctor if you develop a rash, diarrhoea, or signs of liver problems.
