What is Primpex Suspension Used For?

Primpex pediatric suspension is an antibiotic treatment for children. It is used for the treatment of different bacterial infections in children, including respiratory infections, urinary infections, ear infections, and intestinal infections.

Active ingredients: Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim. 

How does Primpex Suspension Work?

Primpex suspension works by destroying the bacteria cells in the body.

Primpex Suspension Dosage 

• Children 6 to 12 years: Take two 5 ml spoonfuls in the morning and two 5 ml spoonfuls in the evening
• Children 6 months to 5 years: Take one 5 ml spoonful in the morning and one 5 ml spoonful in the evening
• Infants (6 weeks to 5 months): Take one 2.5 ml spoonful in the morning and one 2.5 ml spoonful in the evening.
• Adults: The usual adult dosage of Primpex in the treatment of urinary tract infections is 4 teaspoonfuls (20 mL) of the suspension every 12 hours for 10 to 14 days.

Primpex should be taken for at least 5 days.
