What is Alstoretic Tablet Used For?

Alstoretic tablet (Isosorbide mononitrate) is used to prevent angina (chest pain) caused by coronary artery disease (heart disease) but it does not work fast enough to relieve the pain of an angina attack that has already started.

How does Alstoretic Tablet Work?

Alstoreric tablet belongs to a class of drugs known as nitrates and it works by relaxing and widening blood vessels so blood can flow more easily to the heart.

Alstoretic Tablet Dosage 

Take 10mg to 20mg 2 to 3 times a day, or 40mg twice a day, up to a maximum dose of 120mg daily, split into smaller doses. or take the tablet as prescribed by your Doctor.

How long does it take for Alstoretic Tablet to work?

Isosorbide mononitrate (Alstoretic tablet)  starts to work within 1 hour of using it. However,

it may take a few days to prevent angina symptoms.
