What it is

What it's used for

Cefuroxime, the active ingredient in Miraxim, is used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria. These include lower respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia), urinary tract infections, skin and skin-structure infections, and certain other infections. The specific bacteria targeted include Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella species, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Escherichia coli.

How it's taken

Common side effects
